On March 31, 1992, 1.6 Gallon Low-Flush Toilets became mandatory. While we have had great success with these toilets, they do not flush as well as the older 3.5 gallon toilets. Your toilets flush on gravity from the water level stored in the tank, and with low consumption flush, it is necessary that the proper water level is maintained.
